| Electrical Power Feedthroughs |
|
A wide variety of vacuum/ and UHV electrical power feedthroughs. Electrical Feedthroughs have one or many electrical conductors that penetrate the vacuum wall. Each conductor is vacuum sealed by bonding or brazing it to an electrical insulator which in turn is bonded or brazed to the mounting structure or flange. There are three major considerations in choosing electrical feedthroughs: the maximum operating voltage, the maximum operating current, and the environment (i.e. gas pressure, type of gas, temperature etc.). Never under specify either voltage or current when choosing the feedthrough as arcing and melting could result. Remember that as the environmental temperature increases the surface and bulk resistances of insulators decrease giving rise to a possible discharge unless the feedthrough is correctly rated. If in any doubt please just ask us. Electrical Feedthroughs are produced with two connector types (see table below). The drawings show feedthroughs with 551-0412-1 connectors. When ordering or requesting a quote please specify the mounting flange diameter, number and types of connectors.
